Ingredients:

  • Prepared ulu (breadfruit), CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTION TO PREPARE RAW ULU

-slice thin (thinner for crispy, thicker for soft and chewy)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Your favorite seasoning (anything from earthy rosemary to fiery red pepper flakes)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F, or get your air fryer or grill ready for action.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and your seasoning of choice—go bold with it!

  3. Toss the thinly sliced ulu into the bowl, cover, and give it a good shake to make sure every piece gets coated with that delicious seasoned oil.

  4. Lay the seasoned slices out on a baking sheet (or air fryer basket) in a single layer.

  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. If using an air fryer, 10-15 minutes at 375°F will do the trick.

  6. For the grill, cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, flipping as needed until crispy.

  7. Serve these beauties with your favorite dip—BBQ, teriyaki, ketchup, or even spicy salsa!
