Red Pepper Ulu (Breadfruit) Hummus
INGREDIENTS
2 cups prepared ulu (breadfruit), CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTION TO PREPARE RAW ULU,
-Cut ulu into cubes
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 red pepper
1/8 cup water, or more if needed to thin
Directions
Blend the Base: In a food processor, combine the prepared ulu, garlic clove, tahini, lemon juice, sea salt, smoked paprika, and red pepper. Process until the mixture is smooth.
Adjust Consistency: If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time and blend until you reach your desired consistency.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning as needed. You can add more salt, lemon juice, or tahini to suit your taste.
Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil and garnish with a sprinkle of paprika or fresh herbs if desired. Serve with your favorite veggies, bread, or crackers. Add love and enjoy!
